I Screwed Up...

But I'm fixing it!

On the second-- no.
On the third day of Birthdaymas my blogger gave to me,
A Yuletide spectacular!!!

This post will likely be longer than usual, or at least longer than the posts of the past... year or so.
Because I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!!!!

Now I can have all sorts of fun with my Windows 10 touchscreen computer!

The Blogger app here is a bit weird- never mind, I just had to put it in fullscreen. Okay, it's still weird, I'm just ignoring the oddities so that you guys get your Christmas gift from me.
Which is a blog post. I'm such a lovely friend, aren't I? (The italics were for emphasis on the sarcasm)

Some of my Christmas gifts, in case you care:
new laptop
multiple sets of pajamas
chocolate coins (which I think I've eaten all of at this point)
a replica of Slytherin's Locket
a Time Turner
a t-shirt saying "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good"
a drone ("high performance stunt quad copter" according to the packaging, but it's easier to call it a drone. It doesn't take video, and it's meant for indoor use, so...)
a vanilla scented candle
a TARDIS desktop pencil holder
giant hoop earrings (at least 3.5" in diameter)
a tazer (I won't taze you, bro)
a toaster
kitchen utensils
a Captain America hoodie and an Avengers t-shirt
"New York" scented hand soap (Bath & Body Works, my fave) and"Vanilla Bean Noel" hand soap
two sets of earbuds, one set of headphones, and a two-way splitter (though one of the earbud sets is my least favorite kind, but I'll tolerate it if necessary)
the book Black Widow - Forever Red (by Margaret Stohl, and it's Marvel-approved judging by the fact that their logo is on the cover) which I had no idea even existed until today and I am so excited to read
a face-cleaner brush, which I can hopefully use as a replacement for washing my face in the shower, since I'm really only doing it so Mum stops nagging me to
decorative charm letters "R" and "J"
$50 worth of iTunes giftcards
fuzzy socks
math-themed socks
two pairs of "glittens" (glove/mitten hybrids)
a Green Day cd (American Idiot)
a sketching set
a sketchpad (separate from the above)
a hollow book with a notepad inside (manufactured hollow, thank goodness, since I can't stand the lack of respect shown to books in making them hollow)
(the word hollow looks/sounds weird to me now, damn it!)
wood for carving
various underthings
a dancing baby Groot (one of those solar dancy things shaped like Baby Groot in his flowerpot)
various flavored candy sticks
paintbrushes
a Minion figure (LEGO-esque)
a blanket scarf (so soft! so pretty!)
a watch (pretty yet sensible)

...and there's probably more that I'm forgetting right now, but likely not much more.

Looking back on this list, I feel kinda like I'm boasting, but now I remember-- wait, no, that example won't work.
I was gonna make an example of how Dudley Dursley got like 37 birthday gifts, but I counted up my list and there's over 30 up there. Though a fair few are from Santa (yes, I still believe in Santa. Don't rain on my parade damn it!), so...
Yeah. I'm spoiled. But so are my brothers, who each got a similarly large number of gifts, and most of theirs were toys! I barely got any toys- though I'm not complaining, I love what I got- and... I lost my point.

Sooooo....
Tomorrow's Boxing Day Year-in-Review might be postponed to Sunday, since I may be going to a social event tomorrow, depending on whether Mum wants to go or not. Ernest (I mentioned him on last year's Christmas Day post, as well as the Birthday Live-Blog of 2013) and his family moved to a new house, and his mother (who Mum is kinda friends with) is having a painting party.

In two and a half hours, I'm going over to my aunt's house (Dad's sister) for Christmas. Wonder how it'll go, considering the numerous children, all (or most, depending on who all's there) of whom are younger than me...
Hold on a sec. Isn't anyone older than me not a child, seeing as I'm 17 (and a half)? Hmmm, this must be considered...

But that can wait. It's time for the Burning of the Wrappings! ("IT'S A TRADITION!" screams a faraway voice)

Merry Christmas!
Feliz Navidad!
Other multilingual Christmas greetings!

See you tomorrow,
~RJ

Birthdaymas Round Two

On the first day of Birthdaymas my blogger gave to me:
An extremely sincere apology!

Yeah. I'm sorry I haven't posted since... Ummm... intense mental math... About 361 days ago. I've been busy, I swear.

I'd tell you all about my year, but that's gonna wait until the Boxing Day Year-in-Review.

So for now, I'm gonna outline the plan for the next few days, post-wise.
Today: random chatter
Tomorrow: Christmas stuff
Friday: Christmas overview (my fave gifts and stuff)
Saturday: Boxing Day Year-in-Review

That was quick. And I have writer's block right now. So that sucks...

Maybe I'll start making the next few posts. Intros and the like.

Wishing you a good Birthdaymas,
~RJ

Perfect Time for a Post

On the fourth day of Birthdaymas, my blogger have to me,
Salutations from a paranoid Honda!

And on the fifth day of Birthdaymas, my blogger have to me...
A belated Boxing Day post. And her apologies.

Yep, that's right readers and fans, I'm trapped in a paranoid vehicle!

By "paranoid" I mean that I accidentally set off the panic alarm (I didn't know that pulling up the door-locky indicator stick thing would set it off!) and, though it turns itself off after a while, when you open the door, IT STARTS GOING OFF AGAIN. And so goes the story of how I got myself trapped in a paranoid minivan.

And I think that I myself am having a panic attack. Or I'm on the verge of one. Either way, it sucks.

I'm especially worried about what'll happen when Mom gets back and tries to open the door. She'll have to unlock it first, but she'll still be OPENING THE DOOR. When I opened the door, the van FREAKED OUT on me. And it was scary!

I'd like to see YOU try being an anxiety-ridden teen in a van with the panic alarm going off!

Plus, I think my white chocolate hot chocolate has coffee in it. And while I like coffee, I don't really like coffee.

I really want to lean my head on the steering wheel, but it'll probably make the horn go off.

Oh, I've almost forgotten the Boxing Day Year-In-Review!

Quotes from a post that were also from drafts of posts:

"Yesterday, I auditioned for the school musical this spring, which is, as alluded to in the title of this post, the Wizard of Oz."

"Ash doesn't have a dirty mind, she has a sexy imagination..."

"How to pimp your trumpet. Use a mute-saddlebag and an automatic valve-oiling system."

"Now, we're at lunch. Some of us are talking about when their mothers get old.
Tess is talking about pseudoscience now."

"Adam says: "It depends on the size of the deer.""

Etc:

One of my cats had kittens.

I like existential questions.

I have no idea what to put. It's the fifth day of Birthdaymas now, and I forgot to post yesterday. Sorry.

Salutations from not at home,
~RJ

Another Day, Another-- WHAAAT?!

On the third day of Birthdaymas, my blogger gave to me...
A race against Sims 4 downloading

Yep, that's right m'dears, I got THE SIMS 4 for Christmas! Along with a BUNCH of other great stuff. But SIMS FOUR!!! I've wanted Sims 4 since THE DAY IT CAME OUT, which was September 2. So, I've wanted it for 2 months and 23 days. And it's 23% downloaded! Wait, 24%.

Like when I first got my laptop(and Sims 3), I will type as much as I can before the game completely downloads. That will be rather difficult, though not because of time constraints, but because of my own creative block.

27%, 28%, 29%...
It's almost a third of the way done. I'd better get cracking then.

Other presents I got: a Keurig brewer( yay!) along with multiple flavors of hot chocolate (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, Irish creme, and salted caramel); wireless headphones (they look really durable, so hopefully they can stand up to me); a thermal coffee mug (stays hot for 3 hours and cold for 6); a soft, fluffy, purple robe; 2 pairs of pajama pants; a pi shirt and a Loki shirt; a sticker for my door that says 221B Baker Street; a router/repeater (yay for hermitry!); a particle physics book; a college prep book; a necklace that says "I am burdened with glorious purpose" (cuz I am); two pairs of socks; a new pair of black loafers...
46%, 47%, 48%...
...treble clef/bass clef heart earrings; an infinity ring; and (not the last gift, but I can't list everything I got) a new phone charger (I go through those about as much as I do headphones).

56%. Over halfway there. 57%.

I'm sorry I didn't post between early May and Tuesday, but I got a bit caught up in my year. I typed up (or at least started) two posts in July, but they didn't make it out of the drafts. Again, sorry.

61%, that's almost two-thirds. 62% now.

63. Creative blocks SUCK. I want to type SO MUCH post for you, but I just can't!

65. Sorry about all the numbers, but I'm excited to finally get to play Sims 4. I got the free demo in the summer and made some Sims on it, so I'm gonna use the ones of Mom and myself to try the game out at first.

69%...70%! Nearly 3/4 of the way through.

Later today, we're going to my aunt and uncle's house for Christmas. I'm rather apprehensive about it. 6 annoying cousins are annoying. One of them calls herself "antisocial" and yet she jabbers on to me about her friends. Plural friends. I barely have plural friends. There's Time Lord (the other tuba player), Ernest (fellow Schol Bowler), Mr. Bean (his birthday was Saturday), Band Buddy...

Okay, maybe I do have more friends than I think I do. Whatever. I was trying to make a point.

83% now. Over 4/5ths of the way done. Now 84%. 85%. One of my molars hurts. Agh. 86--87%. SOOO CLOSE! 88%. My cat, one of my cats, had kittens two weeks ago yesterday. 89%. I'll put a picture at the end.

90%!!! 9/10 done!!
91%
92%
93%
94% (shut up, stomach!)
95%
96%
97%
99%
Once this is done downloading I'm gonna go have salted caramel hot cocoa.
99%.........communicating tension...
INSTALLING..
READY TO PLAY!!!!!

Im gonna start this thing up and make myself a nice cup of caramel cocoa. See you tomorrow!

Happy Stuff and Merry Things,
~RJ

Merry Happy Birthdaymas!

On the second day of Birthdaymas, my blogger gave to me:
Two Christmas links to satisfy Christmas impatience!

And thus begins the second post of Birthdaymas. Plus, links!

Somehow. I haven't tried making links from my iPhone yet, so the links may just end up being urls that you have to copy and paste into your browser's address bar. So, first up in the links...

NORAD Tracks Santa!
Link: www.noradsanta.org
You're gonna have to copy/paste that for it to work, I think. Sorry.

And next up, another of my Christmas favorites...

Make-a-Flake snowflake maker!
Link: snowflakes.barkleyus.com
Copy/paste again, my readers.
Check out flake #29292540!
It's pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

So, later today, I'm going to my mom's friend's house for Christmas dinner. I'm kinda apprehensive about it, since I'm not all that much for socialization, but of course, it's Christmas, so... What can ya do?

Right now, Santa is in the Maldives. Or at least, he was there recently. NORAD Tracks Santa is awesome.

I have nothing else to say, so... See you tomorrow!

With Birthdaymas cheer and impatience,
~RJ

23 Days of Birthdaymas

On the First Day of Birthdaymas, my blogger gave to me...
An explanation as to what Birthdaymas is.

Merry Christmas Eve-Eve, my dear readers, and welcome to the first annual celebration of the 23 Days of Birthdaymas!

According to my careful calculations, there are exactly 23 days (including today) until ITTBM's fifth birthday. So, in celebration of Christmas, New Year's, and ITTBM's birthday, I have decided to start celebrating Birthdaymas! Each day from today until January 14, you will get a new blog post!

Including the Boxing Day Year-in-Review! In which you shall hear about my year.

And each day, I shall come up with new lyrics for the 23 Days of Birthdaymas song. On the last day, I will give you the whole song as a 23rd Day of Birthdaymas gift. Isn't that lovely?

I can't think of anything else to say, as Birthdaymas is pretty easy to explain at the moment, since this is the first year of it.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and good Birthdaymas to all, and to all, a warm fire!

Off to See the Wizard...

...But the Guard is pretty hot!
--------
As you might be able to tell, my high school is performing the Wizarf of Oz musical. The second part of the title clues you in on the fact that I have a crush on the guy who plays the Guard.

Also, the Universe has decided to shine down rays of luck and happiness on me. I love the Universe today/tonight/tomorrow when it comes in half an hour.

Anyway, just about five-ten minutes ago when I'm typing this, I told the guy I like (the Guard) that I like him. It went pretty well.
- - -
I'm back!

Well, to you guys I never left. But to me, I did leave. For like 40 minutes. Or two-thirds of an hour, if you like fractions!

Sorry I'm rambling, I'm still burning off nervous energy from telling Mr. Mister that I like him.

I call him Mr. Mister because that's what my mom said she'd call him when other people were around. So I decided to call him that here. Because other people(you my readers) are here.

And I'm rambling! Again!

I just realized that, except for the little post on Cinco de Mayo, I haven't posted since Christmas. So you guys don't know that I'm not with my boyfriend(ex-boyfriend now) anymore.

I have typed up multiple drafts of posts between then and tonight/this morning (it's 12:20am roughly at the moment), so I'll give you some highlights.

QUOTES FROM POST DRAFTS:

"Soooo... December 27, I got a text from my boyfriend. He broke up with me.
Well, technically he friendzoned me, since he said he wanted to go back to being friends, and we still talk like friends.

Yesterday, I auditioned for the school musical this spring, which is, as alluded to in the title of this post, the Wizard of Oz."

"Carlotta either: jumps in front of a train to kill herself and be with Guillermo in death
OR: shacks up with Guillermo's brother/best friend
We haven't decided yet."

END QUOTES SECTION

So, those were pretty funny, right? Well, except the first one. That was meant to be an explanation of how I became single again.

Hopefully I won't be single much longer!! Mr. Mister come and make me yours!

I will leave you with some words of wisdom now, as I have to be at the high school for the last performance in eleven and a half hours. And I'll get to see Mr. Mister again!

"Not your housekeeper!" -Mrs. Hudson, BBC Sherlock

"Ok. Sounds good.when shoild i atarts to wotry?" -my mom, earlier last night

"Bzzzz bzzzzzt" -my phone

"Don't look me up in a phone book, I won't take your call." -Knitted Cap Club, Don't Write Me A Letter

The Knitted Cap Club is the band that my chorus teacher is in. They have songs on iTunes that you can buy. They're really good!

A final quote: "All the other songs say 'open up your heart'; But what's there to open when it's all been broken?" - "twelve-twenty-seven", the song that I wrote last night.

I decided to write a song last night. I was inspired by the fact that my chorus teacher (I still call her my chorus teacher even though I'm not in chorus) is in a band and is successful enough to have songs on iTunes. The song I wrote is pretty good, but it's just lyrics at the moment. It could also use a bit of editing, but I'll get to that later. Sleep now.

Goodnight,
~RJ
